The 5th grade Team is composed of 14 girls. Two tenacious, floor generals and slashing point guards, Gella & Spencer… Two physical and strong combo 3,4,5 players, Amelia & Tory. A Swift Wing player, shooter and slasher, Ava B… Two strong Centers, Alaina & Brooklyn… Sharp Shooters and 2 guards, Ellie, Marley & Alivia… Savvy PG and 2 guard combos, Ava P & Taylor…Lastly, two Strong Combo Wing/Post players Khloe and Genevieve. These girls have grown since their tip-off tournament with a record of 16-4 thus far this season. Winning 4 of the 5 AAU tournament championships. And currently being ranked by Zero Gravity #2 5th grade girls’ team in the Mid-Atlantic North region.
This team is resilient on defense and offensively has proven to be a scoring threat from Post to Point. These girls give 110% every time they step on the court. They take pride in hustling after loose balls, offensive rebounds and just causing enormous chaos full court, defensively. Their chemistry as a team is amazing, they truly enjoy playing with and for each other. After winning the Zero Gravity Super Cup, the 5thgrade team was invited to play in the Zero Gravity Girls National tournament in Boston. Ma. June 3-5. An exciting accomplishment for these girls and is a result of their hard work this season. The team will end the AAU spring season at the Premier 1 Beach Blast in Wildwood NJ June 11-12. If I had to describe this team with one word it would have to be “Feisty.”
