Amaya Evans, 5’5 point for Team Sharp and Neptune High School signed the National Letter of Intent with Iona College this week. Evans, who was the point guard for Team Sharp all summer decided on Iona from a number of offers. Amaya showed her leadership all summer while leading the team both offensively and defensively. The most impressive quality about Amaya Evans wasn’t her ability to get to the rim at will.... no, it was her leadership qualities. Iona College got a steal when they got Amaya.
