Amaya Evans, the 5’4 Team Sharp, tough as nails point guard from Neptune, NJ accepted a full athletic scholarship to Iona College of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference this week. Evans started every game for Team Sharp this AAU season where she displayed the leadership qualities necessary to be a Division 1 point guard. It wasn’t only her speed and quickness that made her invaluable but her relentless and tough mentality. She was the opponents point guard‘s worst nightmare as she hawked the ball for 94 feet. Evans will excel at the college level because she will do whatever is necessary for the team to win.
